We found the results for this lab quite shocking! In the mall, we dropped a one dollar bill 5 different times, and each time someone returned it! It seems that people can really trust each other in our community because of this apparent honesty. Individuals care about others and act accordingly, which greatly improves social capital and community bonds.

This video was a fantastic and creative way of testing trust. I was happily surprised to see the results. Great work!
ReplyDeleteThis video shows the social capital of these years! Most people walk along only few of them go out with their family (with little child) they were walked together.
ReplyDeleteI loved these videos! I wouldn't have thought to do this to test trust. I was surprised that everyone returned it to you. I'm not sure that if this experiment were done in Cleveland, you would get the same results. I'm glad that the people of Winston in general seem so trust-worthy. i think it shows that smaller cities can be so much friendlier and better environments for social capital.
ReplyDeleteAwesome acting!

I really enjoyed these videos! It was reassuring to know that so many people in this community are honest and willing to help. As Abi said, I think in different places you would yeild different results but I was really impressed with Winston Salem's community! You all did a wonderful job with this, I'm so impressed!
